PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device providing a predicted number of charging times of storage battery required for travel of an electric vehicle to a designated point to a user, regardless of being on a route or not. SOLUTION: The information providing device includes: a predicted travel distance calculation means for calculating a predicted travel distance from the current position to a designated point (S17); a number-of-times-of-charging calculation means for calculating the number of times of charging of the storage battery predicted for travel of the electric vehicle to the designated point, based on the predicted travel distance and the residual accumulated electrical quantity and volume of the storage battery (S18); and a display means (Fig. 4) for displaying the designated point and information indicating the calculated number of times of charging in association with each other, on the display part.
