PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion preventing structure and a corrosion preventing method for extending the life of a marine steel structure and reducing a maintenance cost by preventing at a low cost the corrosion of a steel member in a marine environment which is a severe corrosive environment. SOLUTION: The corrosion preventing structure for a marine steel structure steel member is characterized in that a corrosion preventing protective cover including a first layer formed of plastic or metal, a second layer formed of a buffer material, and a third layer including a rust inhibitor, is mounted to a steel member of the marine steel structure through magnets.
