The back rest (1) has a covering unit and transverse brackets (7-9) arranged at a back rest frame (2). The covering unit is fixed at the transverse brackets using connection units e.g. welts. The brackets are arranged in a curved manner, where length of the brackets can be adjusted. The connection units exhibit different length, and a material rod is provided at the covering unit. The covering unit is designed as a membrane or network in a single layer. A loop, strap and a hose are arranged at the covering unit. A spacer element (12) changes distance of one of the brackets (7) to the frame.
