<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for cleaning soil or sludge contaminated with volatile specific harmful substances of little environmental load and capable of efficiently performing purification treatment on the contaminated soil with a compact constitution without discharging to the outside not only harmful substances but also combustion gases, dust, and treated water that badly affect the environment. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for cleaning soil or sludge contaminated with volatile specific harmful substances include a thermally decomposing apparatus 1 that vaporizes and separates the contaminated substances 91 with a high-frequency induction heating section 14 to clean the soil 90; a condenser 2 that liquefies a contaminant 91; a detoxifying/treating apparatus 3 having an oil-water separation section 31 that separates fat and oil components 91a from the contaminant 91, sedimentation tanks 32, 33 that sediment the sludge from the contaminant 91 to remove the same, decomposing/treating sections 34, 35 that decompose organic compounds to discharge a detoxifying water 80; and a post-treatment apparatus 4 having a post-treatment/conveyance section 42 that conveys the soil 90, a post-treatment/cooling section 44 that cools and treats the soil 90 with the detoxifying water 80, and a detoxifying water supply section 45 that adds the detoxifying water 80 to the soil 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
