PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery lightweight and securing sealing properties. SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery includes an electrode group in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are disposed through a separator, a nonaqueous electrolyte, a battery case 1 containing the electrode group and the nonaqueous electrolyte, a liquid injection hole 5 formed in the battery case 1 to inject the nonaqueous electrolyte, and a plate-like sealing plug 6 to seal the liquid pouring hole 5. The liquid injection hole 5 has a recessed part 5a formed in the outer surface of a lid plate 1b by counter-bore and a liquid injection through-hole 5b formed at a location containing the recessed part 5a, a double-sided tape 7 is disposed on a bottom of the sealing plug 6, the sealing plug 6 is fitted in the recessed part 5a, the top face of recessed part 5a adheres to the bottom of the sealing plug 6 through a double-sided tape 7, and the peripheral fringe part of the sealing plug 6 is bonded to the lid plate 1b of the peripheral fringe of the recessed part 5a for sealing.
