The invention relates to a method and device for draining a tubular element (1) containing a fluid (5), said tubular element (1) being closed at at least one of the ends (4) thereof, the method being characterized in that it includes the following steps: inserting a needle (6) through the walls (2) of the tubular element (1) in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal axis of said tubular element (1), said needle (6) including a truncated end (7) having a shape enabling the needle to bore into the walls (2) of the tubular element (1), the needle (6) being inserted so as to pass straight through the tubular element (1) and being positioned such that the truncated end (7) is located at one of walls (2) so as to form a fluid draining passage (5) between the truncated end (7) of the needle (6) and the corresponding wall (2) of the tubular element (1); and ejecting the fluid (5) contained in the tubular element (1) by inserting a pushing member (8) into the tubular element (1) from an end opposite the closed end.
