<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inputting Korean characters using a touch screen are provided to reduce the character input time by combining characters with reduced number of touch operation. CONSTITUTION: An input window comprises 'l' vowel key(220) at the right sided of a consonant input key(210), and '-' vowel input key(230) at the lower part of the consonant input key. If 'l' or '-' vowel input key is touched, the character combining mean automatically selects a consonant at the left side of the 'I' vowel input key, or upper side of the '-' vowel input key as an initial sound, and combines the consonant with the touched vowel. An output window displays the combined Korean character to a screen.</p> |
