<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system which performs transmission at a higher speed than heretofore when transmitting an already recorded AVCHD content by using an I/F such as a DVB-ASI. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter 101 transmits a data string wherein information corresponding to a timestamp is given as additional information to a main information packet resulting from packetized information, and includes an additional information separation section 112 for separating the data string into the main information packet and the additional information, an additional information packetizing section 113 for packetizing the separated additional information to generate an additional information packet, and a transmission section 114 for transmitting the main information packet and the additional information packet, whereby the transmitter 101 can transmit video/audio data being recorded or having been recorded, at a high speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
