<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial tire for aircraft which can make pressure-proofing and durability compatible and reducing the weight of the tire further. <P>SOLUTION: A carcass 2 in the radial tire for aircraft includes at least one layer of an inside carcass ply 2A wound up from inside in the tire width direction to outside around a pair of bead cores 1 and at least one layer of an outside carcass ply 2B, which extends at least immediately below the bead cores wrapping externally a portion including the wound-up portion of the inside carcass ply 2A. Organic fiber cords constituting the inside carcass ply and the outside carcass ply are made of the same material. A value of a twist coefficient α of the organic fiber cords defined by an equation (I): α=tanθ=0.001×N×√(0.125×D/ρ) (where, N is the twist count (turns/10 cm), D is the totally represented decitex (dtex) of the cords, and ρ is the specific gravity of the fibers used for the cords) is smaller in the outside carcass ply than that in the inside carcass ply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
