<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus which can easily transmit or receive user desired data. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus includes: a communication means for wirelessly communicating with a communication partner device; and an execution means for executing one or more applications. The communication partner device is specified through the wireless communication using the communication means and based on the state of executing an application, either a transmitting mode to transmit communication data to the communication partner device or a receiving mode to receive communication data from the communication partner device is selected.
