摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device for a vehicle advantageous for the miniaturization of an electric motor disposed as a drive source. <P>SOLUTION: The drive device 2 includes a first MG 3 and a second MG 4, and rotates an output shaft 5 by power outputted from at least one of the MG 3 and the MG 4 in order to drive the vehicle 1. The drive device 2 includes: a first transmission mechanism 11 capable of switching an engagement state that the speed of the rotation of an output shaft 3c of the first MG 3 is changed and a power transmission path for transmitting it to the output shaft 5 is formed, and a release state that the power transmission path is shut-off; a second transmission mechanism 12 capable of switching an engagement state that the speed of the rotation of an output shaft 4c of the second MG 4 is changed and a power transmission path for transmitting it to the output shaft 5 is formed, and a release state that the power transmission path is shut-off; and an MG connection clutch C0 capable of switching an engagement state that the output shaft 3c of the first MG 3 and the output shaft 4c of the second MG 4 are connected, and a release state that the connection is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
