PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utility of a detection method utilizing a localization of a combined object due to magnetic particles. SOLUTION: The magnetic particles M are contained in a first combined material B<SB>1</SB>specifically combined with a to-be-detected material A. A functional group indicates a polarity within a liquid sample, and is modified on a surface of dielectric particles P containing a magnetic material. A magnetic property-added combined material Bm is formed by adding dielectric particles P containing the magnetic material to the first combined material B<SB>1</SB>. A second combined material B<SB>2</SB>is specifically combined with the to-be-detected material A. A label-combined material Bo is formed by adding an optical-response label O to the second combined material B<SB>2</SB>. The magnetic property-added combined material Bm and the label-combined material Bo are mixed, combined and reacted with the liquid sample S as a to-be-inspected object. A magnetic field is generated within a sample cell 10. The magnetic property-added combined material Bm is attracted to a local region. In the state that the magnetic property-added combined material Bm is attracted, only a predetermined region E including the local region is irradiated with an excitation light.
