Composition comprises: (a) mussel biomass; (b) smectite mineral compound; and (c) water, where the smectite mineral compound comprises 10-20 wt.% of smectite and 40-80 wt.% of amorphous silicon dioxide. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the above composition, comprising mixing mussel biomass and smectite-mineral compound; and (2) a feedstuff comprising the above composition, and optionally further additives, ingredients, auxiliary agents and/or active agents.
