The self-locking belt retractor has a belt shaft pivoted in a U-shaped frame (10) by the effect of a winding spring (12) arranged in a spring house fixed to the frame, as carrier of a belt strap. A vehicle-sensitive or belt strap sensitive blocking sensitive is provided for the belt shaft. A load transmitting component is formed from torsion bar as component part of a force catch device integrated into the belt retractor. The component is connected to its one end with a shaft body (11) and to its other end positively with a profiled head (14) of a component part.
