The container (10) has a drinking opening area (16) enclosed by a detachable cap- or cover-like closure element (20), and a base area (12) formed for stabling the container. A foam production arrangement (26) is provided at the closure element and/or in the container. The arrangement has a hollow body area (28) with an opening (30) lying in a beverage i.e. white beer. The hollow body area is tapered toward the opening. The closure element reduces the volume of the hollow body area when the hollow body area is directed to the beverage.
