PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an operation control method thereof are provided to change the sound output direction depending on the position of a user. CONSTITUTION: A camera(121) receives an image of a user, and a control unit(180) calculates the location of a user from the image of the user. A sound output module(153) changes the sound output direction according to the location of the user calculated by the control unit, and includes a speaker and a speaker driving unit. The speaker driving unit adjusts the direction of a speaker according to the location of the user calculated by the control unit.
