PURPOSE: A method for reinforcing an end of a steel beam with concrete in the field is provided to effectively form a concrete section in an end of a steel beam by installing a form and placing concrete in the field. CONSTITUTION: A method for reinforcing an end of a steel beam with concrete in the field is as follows. A steel beam(100) is cut to the set length. A stiffener(150) is installed in a web surface of a steel beam on both sides of a concrete reinforcement section of the steel beam. An upper L-beam(300) is installed on the upper flange of the steel beam. Lock bolts(500) and nuts(550) are coupled to fasten a form(200) with a groove as wide as the flange width of the steel beam, lower L-beam(400), and the upper L-beam. The steel beam assembled out of the elements is welded to a post. A form for a slab and a deck are installed. Concrete is placed in a slab and an end of the steel beam. The form, the lower L-beam, and the lock bolts and nuts are removed after curing of the concrete.
