PURPOSE: A keypad for a portable terminal and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to definitely guarantee the visibility of the font protrusion by adding a background printing layer and a shield printing layer under a first sheet. CONSTITUTION: A first sheet(10) has a font hole(11) punched in the shape of font(F). A second sheet(20) comprises a font protrusion(41) inserted into the font hole. The second sheet is combined to the bottom of the first sheet. A boss(31) presses the dome switch from under the second sheet. A background printing layer(13) and a shield printing layer(14) are sequentially formed under the first sheet.
