<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for identifying a mass-customized part by encoding a part identification into a multi-dimensional bar code and using a stereolithography apparatus (SLA) to make the part with a multi-dimensional bar code embedded therein. <P>SOLUTION: An identification system includes a means for encoding the part identification into the multi-dimensional bar code, a means for synthesizing the bar code and three-dimensional (3D) part data into a synthesized 3D configuration, and the stereolithography apparatus (SLA) for receiving the synthesized 3D configuration and making the part according to the embedded multi-dimensional bar code.
