PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root vegetable harvester capable of automatically dissolving the slack of a housing bag by elevating the conveying terminal end part of a sortable transporting conveyer and capable of saving excessive operations. SOLUTION: This root vegetable harvester is provided with a drawing/conveying device 24 for drawing-out crops from a field and conveying them to a rear upper direction at the one side of left and right of a machine frame 1, a sortable conveying device 87 relaying the crops from the drawing/conveying device 24 and conveying them from the one side of left and right to the other side of left and right, a base part of a lifting up and down arm 94 mounted on the conveying terminal end part of the sortable conveying device 87 as vertically freely rotatable, a rotary shaft 95 attached to the free end part of the lifting up and down arm 94 as freely rotatable, an arm 95a and hanging member 96 are arranged integrally at the rotary shaft 95 in a crossing direction with the axis line of the rotary shaft 95, and a tension member 98 pulling the arm 95a toward a fixed position side is arranged between the free end part of the arm 95a and the fixed position on a machine body, arranged at above the conveying terminal end part of the sortable conveying device 87.
