PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system and a vehicle which simplify an installation construction of a power transmitting coil and position the power transmitting coil and a power receiving coil without being influenced by metal or by noise such as an electromagnetic wave and without depending on a driver's driving technique. SOLUTION: The charging system includes a power receiving coil 20 provided on a side of a vehicle 10, a power transmitting coil 21 provided with a predetermined vertical distance with respect to the ground, and a position adjustment part 27 adjusting the position of the power transmitting coil 21 so that the power receiving coil 20 and the power transmitting coil 21 are electromagnetically coupled to each other. The power receiving coil 20 is provided in a projection 11 on a side of the vehicle 10. On the side of the power transmitting coil 21, gap sensors 22 measuring gaps between the power transmitting coil 21 and a side of the vehicle 10 and between the power transmitting coil and the projection are provided. In addition, the position adjustment part 27 adjusts the position of the power transmitting coil 21 so that a difference between measurements measured by the gap sensors 22 falls within a predetermined range.
