PURPOSE: A power regenerating device and a controlling method thereof are provided to prevent components from being damaged by blocking an input current when a low voltage is generated in a power side. CONSTITUTION: A voltage measuring unit(210) measures an input voltage. A transistor driver(220) drives a transistor. A smoothing unit(230) smooths the power and outputs the smoothed power. A regenerating unit(240) supplies output power to an AC power source. A controller(260) controls the transistor driver according to the measured voltage.
