<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with job history information auditing systems wherein the combination of the mechanism of a link log for referring to image data of input jobs and the mechanism of setting the range of time to record job history information may disable the acquisition of image data referred to by the link log. <P>SOLUTION: Although image data is saved in a digital multi-function peripheral when an input job is executed, when an output job reusing the input job image data is later executed, a date and time of geneation and a date and time of updating of the image data are determined and, if these dates and times match, image data for job history information is generated.
