<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery cell base with a conductive electrode in which adhesion between the conductive electrode after baking and a silicon substrate is improved without making worse the volume resistivity (specific resistance) of the conductive electrode after baking, and to provide a method of manufacturing the solar battery cell base with the conductive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method of manufacturing the solar battery cell base with the conductive electrode, including: a coating film forming process of forming a coating film by applying or printing, on the silicon substrate, a conductive composition containing silver oxide (A), optionally carboxylic acid silver (B), and an organic solvent (C) having a boiling point of≥200°C,≥50 mass% of the composition being the silver oxide (A); and a baking process of baking the coating film at 500 to 850°C to form the conductive electrode on the silicon substrate.
