<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel system and method for conveying silicon granules. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for conveying granular silicon by a motion in a horizontal and/or vertical direction, a conveyance device is completely sealed to the outside. The advancing motion of the granules is performed by exciting at least one permanent magnet attached to the conveyance device by a magnetic field and oscillating the conveyance device.
