PURPOSE: An electronic payment system using authentication information and a control method thereof are provided to receive new authentication information to perform authentication and payment when a mobile communication terminal executes an application for buying a product, thereby enabling a user to perform electronic payment when the user buys a product at an offline shop. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal(110) receives authentication information through an authentication server(130) when an application for electronic payment is executed. A POS terminal(120) inputs payment information including the amount of payment and the authentication information. The POS terminal transmits an authentication request signal for requesting authentication and inputted payment information to the authentication server. The authentication server performs authentication in response to the authentication request signal. If the authentication is successful, the authentication server transmits a payment request signal to a payment server(140). |
