PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity in a wide wavelength range and durability, using the mixture of a specified polycyclic aromatic vinyl polymer and a specified nitrofluorenone for a charge transfer substance, and a specified copper-phthalocyanine pigment or a specified azo type pigment for a charge generating substance. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds selected from a polymer of 9-(p-vinyl-phenylanthracene) represented by formula I, a copolymer of this and another vinyl monomer, and a bromide of said polymer, and a mixture of one or more nitrofluorenones represented by formula II are used for a charge transfer layer. In formula II, m, n are integers, and 1<=(m+n)<=3. A mixture of a monoazo pigment represented by formula III in which M is Ca, Ba, or Mg, and R1, R2 are H, CH3, OCH3, or halogen; a disazo pigment represented by formula IV in which X is OCH3 or Cl; and a copper phthalocyanine pigment, or the latter alone is used for a charge generating layer, thus permitting a composite type electrophotographic plate to have high sensitivity to 500-825nm wavelengths, and to be widely applicable to substrates different from one another in rigidity, flexibility, or the like, and especially suitable for a high speed copying apparatus capable of using a semiconductor laser beam source. |
