The electricity meter dial marking tool continuously modifies the dial surface by means of a laser beam and compensates for dial shift by deflecting the beam through an x and y coordinate system allocated to ideal dial position and controlled in response to a selected inscription programme. The system measures the horizontal and vertical shifts of the dial together with the angular displacement relative to the ideal position. These results are fed into the computer which corrects the beam in accordance with a stored programme relative to a two coordinate system which has been corrected for these shifts in dial position. The correction factor is calculated by conventional transformation formulae: x' = x cos alpha (angle shift) + x0 (horizontal shift), and y' = x sin alpha + y cos alpha + y0 (vertical shift).
|
