PURPOSE:To provide an ink ribbon changeover device which is capable of easily changing over the color of a ribbon without causing ink smudge wherein an ink ribbon is stretched over plural guide shafts and link mechanisms and the surface of the ribbon can be oscillated vertically by guide members composing parts of the mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A support member 11 which is shaped to straddle over both sides of a print head 10 is fixed to the head 10 and a link mechanism 12 is provided so that is straddles over both sides of the support member and it is arranged so that an ink ribbon stretched over in front of a print base can be changed in position vertically. One end of a L shaped main link 13 having a notch 14 and that of a similar sub link 15 are installed to the head 10 to be rotatable by means of shafts 13a, 15a respectively and the other ends of those links are welded to a guide member which is shaped in the form of character U and provided in front of the print base. Of those guide shafts 20, 20, 21 which stretch an ink ribbon 1, the upper parts of the guide shafts 20, 20 are shaped in the form of cone to prevent the ribbon 1 from coming off. |
