PURPOSE:To obtain the titled cylinder which is wear-resisting, corrosion-resisting and can be manufactured economically in few processes by a method wherein the inner wall surface of a cylindrical barrel of steel block is coated with a wear resisting or corrosion alloy layer. CONSTITUTION:Solid cores 6, 6a are arranged in the cylindrical barrel 4 of steel block and after an upper and a lower plate 7, 8 are welded into them, they are heated at 1,000-1,200 deg.C in a non-oxidation atmosphere furnace. Wear resisting alloy containing C 2-4%, Ni 2.5-6%, Bo 2-2.5%, Si 2.5% or less an Fe for the residue or corrosion resisting alloy containing Ni 40-45%, Co 40-45% Cr 6-8%, Si 1-2%, Mn 1% or less is injected from an alloy injecting hole into a space having a section in the form of ''8'' and cooled down to the room temperature at the cooling speed of 20-100 deg.C/hr. The internal wall surface of the steel cylidrical barrel is coated with a wear resisting or a corrosion resisting alloy layer 5 by boring the hole, until the thickness of the desired alloy layer and the dimension of the hole are secured. |
