Data processing unit and control device for controlling an electrical drive

The data processing unit (100) has a command memory (101) for storing program commands and a data memory (102) for storing of data, which is needed during implementation of the program commands. A parameter memory (103) is provided for storing constants and parameters for implementation of the program commands. An arithmetic logic unit (105) is coupled with the command memory, data memory and the parameter memory. The data processing unit is implemented by a Field-programmable gate array. An independent claim is also included for a controlling device for controlling an electric drive.
