<p>The plate (1, 1') has several stitch hold-down surfaces (12, 13) : The plate has a stitch hold-down surface (12) for single knitted fabrics and one or more stitch hold-down surfaces (13, 13n) for double knits. The hold-down surfaces are distributed over regularly- or irregularly spaced peripheral locations of the plates. The surfaces have essentially radial orientation relative to the axes of rotation (18) of the plates. The plate includes a functional surface (11) to form stitches.</p> |
