PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving of a display panel is provided to block power supplied to a display panel from a DC-DC converter by sensing the excess of maximum driving current. CONSTITUTION: A DC-DC converter boosts a constant voltage to a driving voltage. The constant voltage is supplied from a power supply unit. An LDO regulator(30) drops the output voltage of a DC-DC converter and supplies The LDO regulator supplies a dropped output voltage to a display panel. Short sensors(40,50) senses whether a driving current exceeds maximum driving current. The short sensors control the output voltage of the DC-DC converter.
