PURPOSE:To improve the S/N, by setting the moving direction substantially in parallel to the incident surface when a magnetic material is stacked for a magnetic head which has a working gap to a magnetic recording medium containing the magnetic material stacked obliquely. CONSTITUTION:A polyester base film 22 which is fed out of a roll 21 in a vacuum tank (not shown in diagram) is taken up to a roll 24 turning around a cylinder 23. At the same time, the cobalt 28 put into a crucible 27 is evaporated with heat and stacked obliquely onto the base film with about 0.1mum thickness via a shielding plate having a slit 25. The cobalt-stacked film thus obtained is slit lengthwise with a proper width to obtain a cobalt film tape. Then a magnetic head having a working gap is set to the cobalt film tape substantially in parallel to the incident surface obtained when the magnetic material is stacked obliquely in the same direction as the incident time. As a result, an output of reproduction is increased with a reduction of the S/N. |
