PURPOSE: A gap prevention apparatus for a gate of a vehicle is provided to make the floor of a railway vehicle flush with a platform by employing a movable plate attached to the bottom of a vehicle door and an elevating platform installed in the movable plate. CONSTITUTION: A gap prevention apparatus for a gate of a vehicle comprises a movable plate(40), platforms(50), and a pneumatic chamber. The movable plate is moved by a cylinder. The platforms, including platform cylinders(51), are installed at regular intervals to ascend and descend on the top of the movable plate. The pneumatic chamber is connected to the platform cylinders and a pneumatic line to be connected to a compressor of a vehicle(10).
