PURPOSE:To mold an uneven molded green compact excellent in dimensional accuracy in good yield, by a method wherein a cylindrical elastomer capsule free from unevenness is filled with a powder to be molded into a shape having a dimension calculated on a shrink amount and hydrostatic pressure is loaded to this base molded material through the capsule. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical elastomer capsule (two-dot broken line) 5 is set in a metal packing container 6 and air between the capsule 5 and the inner wall of the packing container 6 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 9 while the capsule is expanded within elastic deformation (a state shown by a solid line) to be closely contacted with the inner wall of the packing container 6. Subsequently, the capsule 5 is filled with a necessary amount of a powder 10 and, after a plug 11 is applied to said capsule 5, a pump 9 is stopped to take out the filled capsule 5. This capsule 5 is subjected to plastic processing in two split simple molds to form a base molded material 12 having a stepped shaft and a new plug 11A is applied. This base molded material is shrunk similarily without collapsing a geometrical shape in a hydrostatic pressure molding apparatus to mold a molded green compact with a predetermined shape. |
