The operating member has an operating body (32) which is mounted so that it can rotate about a pivot axis (36), for realizing two switching functions. The rotation of the operating body is limited to an angle range of +/- 90 degrees relative to a rest position. A restoring device places the operating body back in its rest position after a rotation. An Independent claim is also included for a vehicle computer system.
