ABSOLUTE ORIENTATION SYSTEM AND METHOD USING BRIDGING COORDINATES

PURPOSE: An absolute orientation system using bridging coordinates and a method thereof are provided to set three reference points through the bridging coordinates to set reference points necessary for absolute orientation through a collinearity condition equation, thereby storing some of the set reference points as bridging coordinates for absolute orientation of the next model. CONSTITUTION: A model coordinate input unit(100) receives model coordinates of a target model of absolute orientation. When bridging coordinates for setting reference points of the absolute orientation exist, a reference point setting unit(200) sets reference points necessary for the absolute orientation through the bridging coordinates. An absolute orientation unit(300) calculates an absolute orientation equation. The absolute orientation unit converts inputted model coordinates into absolute coordinates.
