PURPOSE: A control switch for an auto transmission is provided to reduce the damage possibility of a movable unit or a shaft since a gap is formed between the side of the shaft and the inner wall of a hole and thus less stress is applied to a corner. CONSTITUTION: A control switch for an auto transmission comprises a housing and a movable unit(10). A through hole is formed on the housing. The movable unit rotates in the housing according to the switch operation of the shift lever of the auto transmission. The movable unit comprises a shaft maintaining unit(11), which is inserted into the through hole and is freely supported. An indentation hole(15) is formed on the shaft maintaining unit of the movable unit. A stress reducing groove is formed around the corner of the indentation hole or on the inner wall around the corner. After the shaft is inserted into the indentation hole, a gap is formed between the inner wall of the indentation hole and the shaft.
