A technique of downsizing the construction of an OFDM demodulation processing section in a digital broadcasting receiver is provided. A first processing section (3) has an OFDM demodulator (31) and an I/O interface (32). A second processing section (4) has a decoding section (41), an I/O interface (42), a buffer (43), an arbiter (44), and an SDRAM interface (45). An SDRAM (5) is connected to the SDRAM interface (45), and the I/O interfaces (32) and (42) are connected to each other. When the OFDM demodulator (31) demodulates the OFDM signal and when the decoding section (41) decodes an audio/video signal, the SDRAM (5) is used as a work area. When both of them (31, 41) access the SDRAM (5), the arbiter (44) arbitrates memory access. |
