PURPOSE: An electrophoretic display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to use agarose extracted from rhodophyta instead of existing electrode ink, thereby drastically reducing a manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A lower substrate(101) and an upper substrate(121) are arranged at a fixed interval. A plurality of electrodes(103) is formed in a fixed interval on a lower substrate. An upper electrode(123) is formed on an upper substrate. A partition(107) is formed between the lower electrode and the upper electrode. The partition forms a pixel space by partitioned by a sub pixel. Electrophoretic particles(115) are sealed in the pixel space in the partition. The electrophoretic particles include agarose gel(111) and oil(113). |
