PURPOSE: A diet beverage producing method using sea tangle powder is provided to improve the alginic acid extraction yield by easily extract alginic acid from sea tangle. CONSTITUTION: A diet beverage producing method using sea tangle powder comprises the following steps: crushing dried sea tangle into the size smaller than 20meshes; mixing the crushed sea tangle with 0.3~1% sodium carbonate solution, and extracting for 1~5hours; adding citric acid to the extract, and heating for 30minutes~3hours at 90~100deg C: and filtering the heated extract.
