PURPOSE: A method for treating an ornamental plant is provided to lengthen of lifetime of the plant and to improve plant condition. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating an ornamental plant comprises a step of treating the plant with a liquid composition containing one or more cyclopropene compounds. The total concentration of the cyclopropene compound is 0.3-300 mg per 1L of liquid composition. The liquid composition is an aqueous composition and additionally contains one or more chelating agents.
