PURPOSE: A cutting apparatus is provided to accurately and precisely cut a rod by measuring a cutting length using a laser measuring device. CONSTITUTION: A cutting apparatus comprises a base(10), a rod transferring unit, a cutting blade unit(70), rod fixing units, a laser unit(17), and a control unit. The rod transferring unit transfers a rod. The cutting blade unit is separated from the base. The rod fixing units fix the rod in the left and right of the cutting blade unit. The laser unit measures a moving distance of the rod. The control unit controls the movement of the rod transferring unit and the cutting blade unit and determines a cutting length of the rod based on the distance measured from the laser unit. |
