BACK LIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to prevent components from being damaged due to thermal deformation. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(120) includes a cover bottom(180), a printed circuit board(113), a plurality of light emitting diodes, and a plurality of slits(181). The top of the cover bottom is opened. The printed circuit board is installed on at least one side of the cover bottom. The light emitting diodes are mounted on the printed circuit board. The slits are formed on an edge of the cover bottom corresponding to the printed circuit board. The slits reduce thermal deformation.
