<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength against load of a thermoelectric conversion device. <P>SOLUTION: This thermoelectric conversion device includes: a pair of heat exchangers each having a plane with an electrode formed thereon and structured such that the planes face each other in a parallel state; and a plurality of thermoelectric elements jointed to the electrode formed on the plane on one side and the electrode formed on the plane on the other side. The plurality of thermoelectric elements are each formed of a material for forming a rhombohedral crystal, wherein the c-plane in describing the rhombohedral crystal by a coordinate system of a hexagonal system is oriented in a specific orientation direction, and are arranged so that the specific orientation direction is vertical to the plane, and the specific orientation directions in at least a part of the plurality of thermoelectric elements are set parallel to a reinforcement direction parallel to the plane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
