<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of extremely improving abrasion resistance and damage duration of an image carrier, improving cleaning ability, stabilizing the effect to consequently prevent bad cleaning or filming and avoiding the occurrence of contamination of a charging roller to permit the stable output of a high-quality image for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes the image carrier 1 used by laminating at least a photosensitive layer and a protective layer in the order on a conductive support, and includes at least a charging means 2, a developing means 4, a cleaning means 8 and a lubricating material applying means 30, wherein the protective layer contains at least a curable resin and filler, and the surface form of the protective layer has an arithmetic mean waviness Wa, which is obtained by a waviness curve obtained by filtering a coarse component with aλc contour curve filter 0.25 mm and by filtering a wavelength component longer than the waviness with aλf contour curve filter 2.5 mm, of 0.05μm to 0.3μm and an average length WSm of contour curve element of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
