PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional frame structure including: a problem wherein a high-cost drawing process is required to manufacture vertical angles and horizontal angles for increasing their strength because horizontal angles and the upper and lower ends of vertical angles have insufficient strength when the angles are manufactured by press-bending flat steel sheets; a problem wherein the vertical angles and the horizontal angles have insufficient strength and are prone to deformation in a back-and-forth direction and in a side-to-side direction because they are just secured to each other with relatively small corner fittings and are not secured to a top plate or a bottom plate; and a problem wherein the vertical angles are prone to deformation when subjected to load from above. SOLUTION: A metal rack assembly has the following frame structure: mounting fittings are secured to a top plate and a bottom plate; mounting portions of angles are secured to securing portions of the secured mounting fittings; and mounting holes are provided in U-shaped portions and bent sides of the angles to allow shelf plates and other members to be installed.
