PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying p-phenylenediamine, by which crude colored p-phenylenediamine can be distilled to obtain purified white p-phenylenediamine inhibited in discoloration and improved in storage stability. SOLUTION: The method for purifying p-phenylenediamine includes a process for distilling crude p-phenylenediamine in the presence of a reducing inorganic compound to obtain p-phenylenediamine.
