PURPOSE:To analyze accurately an object moving in high speed by setting optionally an image pickup field period together with the shortening of the image pickup period while shortening field period regardless of the television standard system in a solid-state image pickup element and obtaining the still picture of the standard system by a picture memory. CONSTITUTION:In depressing an image pickup start switch 6, a timing controller 5 starts its operation and a strobo lighting fixture 4 irradiates a flash synchronizing with the operation of a television camera 2. A camera 2 and a picture memory 3 are operated synchronously by the timing controller and pickup the image of a moving object 1 by using the flash lighted from the strobo lighting fixture 4. The camera 2 is provided with the solid-state image pickup element 9 as an image pickup element so as to facilitate the image pickup system other than the standard television system. The solid-state image pickup element 9 is driven by the timing controller 5 so as to reduce remarkably the field period than that of the standard system. The picture information picked up by the camera 2 is stored once in the picture memory 3, the system is converted and the result is displayed on a monitor 7 as a still picture. |
